FAMILY ACCOUNTS

Learning records
belong to the family.

Public pages and saved learning

Anyone can read the public syllabus, topic lessons and school guides. A parent or guardian signs in to use the saved learning workspace. Children use learner nicknames under that adult’s account; they do not need a child email address or date of birth.

What is saved

BrightQuest stores the signed-in parent’s site-specific user identifier, learner nicknames, preparation preferences, answers, hints used, written working, recorded question durations, writing drafts, focus reflections and daily-alert read status. These records are associated with the parent account.

Who can see the records

The learning API checks the signed-in parent’s ownership before reading or writing learner records. Public lesson pages contain no family records. People sharing one parent login can see all learner profiles under that login.

Audio

Pronunciation uses the speech voices available through the browser and device. Voice availability and sound vary by device. BrightQuest does not request microphone access, record speech or grade pronunciation. Device or voice-provider processing is governed by their own settings and terms.

Daily alerts

Personalised notes appear in the site while it is open or on the next signed-in visit. Email and background phone notifications are not connected.

Hosting and account access

The site runs through ChatGPT Sites and uses its sign-in service. Those services have their own privacy and account policies. BrightQuest currently includes no third-party advertising or analytics scripts.

Family guidance

Use nicknames and avoid adding sensitive personal information to written answers or reflections. An adult should oversee the account, review written work and help choose a calm preparation pace.
